Chatoya
Project Narrative
Chatoya is a versatile and lightweight furniture system designed to adapt to the needs of its users. Composed of six individual chairs, the pieces seamlessly connect to form a unified circular seating arrangement or can be separated into standalone chairs for flexible use. This modular approach encourages interaction, collaboration, and customization within a variety of environments.
The design utilizes a distinctive void structure that provides both visual lightness and structural strength, making each piece easy to move, rearrange, and reconfigure. When paired with its transparent centerpiece table, Chatoya transforms into a functional gathering space while maintaining an open, airy aesthetic.
Balancing functionality, flexibility, and contemporary design, Chatoya reimagines traditional seating by creating a dynamic furniture solution that evolves with its surroundings and the people who use it.
